On the morning of September 11, 2023, National Economics University opened a training course on Value Chain Analysis: Qualitative and quantitative analysis methods to optimize policies and prioritize investment, taught by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).
Attending the opening of the training course, on the side of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), there was Dr. Nguyen Thi Lan Huong - Economic expert, Policy Research and Long-term Strategic Forecasting Department, FAO at Headquarters; Dr. David Neven - Senior Economist, Head of Trade and Agricultural Economics Group, FAO at Headquarters (participates in online teaching).
On the side of the National Economics University, there was Prof. Dr. Pham Hong Chuong – President of the university; Associate Professor Dr. Ho Dinh Bao - Head of Personnel Department; Associate Professor Dr. Ngo Thi Phuong Thao - Head of the Faculty of Real Estate and Resources Economics; with 42 students from National Economics University and other universities, research institutes, and management agencies.

Speaking at the opening of the training course, Prof. Dr. Pham Hong Chuong emphasized that, as a leading university in economics, management, and business administration in Vietnam, training policymakers, researchers, and entrepreneurs as well as taking on the role of policy advisor to the Government, ministries, branches, and local authorities in the fields of socio-economic development. The topic of Value Chain Analysis (VCA) is one of the crucial areas of the Economics and Agricultural Business major, so the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) organizes the course will contribute to strengthening and improving the teaching and research capacity of lecturers and experts in quantitative economic analysis of the value chain. The Professor wished the course would be successful and the students would have practical learning sessions, sharing and exchanging knowledge.
