On
the morning of August 15, 2022, Prof. Dr. Pham Hong Chuong - NEU
President had a discussion and working session with the delegation of Lincoln International Business School, part of the University of Lincoln, UK.

Attending the meeting, concerning International Business School, Lincoln University, there were Ms. Siobhan Goggin - Head of Department of Accountancy, Finance and Economics;
Assoc. Prof. Dr. David Gray - Leader of Economics program; Department
of Accountancy, Finance and Economics; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Quach Manh Hao -
Programme Leader of the Department of Accountancy, Finance and
Economics, and the accompanying staff. With regard to National Economics
University, there were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ho Dinh Bao - Head of Personnel
Department; Dr. Dao Thanh Tung - Head of Department of International
Cooperation; and representatives of leaders of faculties, institutes and
departments of NEU.
Stating
at the meeting, Prof. Dr. Pham Hong Chuong emphasized that National
Economics University aims to be a prestigious and multidisciplinary
university on a regional and global scale. The cooperation with Lincoln
University - Top 20 leading universities in the UK - is an opportunity
for lecturers and students of NEU to hone their skills, to enhance
research capability, and to receive training programs meeting global
standards, which is a culmination in the development strategy of NEU.
Also
at the meeting, the two sides discussed a number of issues such as:
cooperation in training at undergraduate, master's and doctorate as
agreed, scientific research cooperation; organizing seminars,
conferences, exchange of lecturers and students. The representative of
Lincoln University also proposed to cooperate and seek support for
activities and projects intended for lecturers and students through a
memorandum of cooperation.
On behalf of the delegation, Ms. Siobhan Goggin - Head of Department of Accountancy, Finance and Economics, International Business School, Lincoln University expressed her gratitude to the leadership of NEU for the
warm welcome as well as affirmed that this is an opportunity for both
universities to increase exchanges and mutual learning and she hoped
that the relationship between the two universities will become stronger.

during the visit, the delegation of Lincoln University attended the
introduction of the Doctoral Training Cooperation Program between the
National Economics University and Lincoln University, UK.
The doctoral training program between the National Economics University and Lincoln University aims to provide PhD students with
knowledge and skills in scientific research to solve problems in
economics, business and management by new methods; to assist PhD
students in proposing and conducting research with close supervision and
collaboration with the instructor; to contribute and spread new
knowledge, and create breakthroughs in the career development of PhD students related to scientific research.
The
overall view of the introduction of the Doctoral Training Cooperation
Program between the National Economics University and Lincoln University
The
program aims to train scientists in the fields of economics, business
and management who are capable of developing and disseminating knowledge
into the practice of socio-economic activities and policy analysis with
relevant research which is fully qualified to be published in
specialized journals and leading scientific conferences on a national
and global scale.
