Higher Education (THE).

Welcoming the delegation to visit and work at National
Economics University, Assoc Prof. Dr. Bui Huy Nhuong said, currently, the
University was gradually implementing accreditation activities according to the
regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and international accreditation.
NEU was looking forward to receiving THE's advice and support to carry out
university ranking activities, to self-assess and improve the quality of
training, scientific research, and achieve international recognition in
teaching, research and social influence, gradually climbing the ranks and
writing their name on the world map of high-quality higher education.
The representative of THE - Mr. Ritin Malhotra - Regional
Manager and General Director (Asia) said that before coming to Vietnam, he had
researched and predicted about Vietnam's prospects on the rankings of THE.
Through the database provided by a number of Vietnamese higher education
institutions, he noticed a rapid growth in the number of international
articles, and the prospect of increasing the rankings of universities in
Vietnam in THE ranking of world universities. Mr. Ritin Malhotra affirmed, THE
was always ready to support NEU in data research, providing advice to perfect
strategies as well as preparing dossiers for ranking educational institutions.
The two sides could implement cooperation activities through organizing
consulting seminars, organizing research groups, exchanging and discussing to complete
the university ranking profile of the University.
It is known that Times Higher Education (THE) was formerly a magazine
about news and higher education issues, since 1971. Currently, THE is a data
science organization that collects and analyzes data, information on global
higher education. From there, it helps to introduce products about orientation
and development strategies for higher education institutions. THE uses 13
calibrated indicators to provide a comprehensive and balanced comparison. The
indicators are divided into five groups: teaching (learning environment),
research (quantity, income and reputation), scientific citation (research
influence), international cooperation (lecturer), students and research),
income through knowledge transfer. This ranking is trusted by students,
scientists, university leaders, business owners and governments.
