In the afternoon of December 17, 2019, the MOU signing ceremony between National Economics University and Marriott International’s Vietnam and Cambodia Business Council took place at the JW Marriott Hotel Hanoi.
Attending the ceremony, from Marriott International’s Vietnam and Cambodia Business Council, there were Mr. Mark Van Der Wielen and other members. From National Economics University, there were Assoc Prof. Dr. Pham Hong Chuong - President; with representatives of departments, faculties, institutes, and centers. The objective of this cooperation is to build up the strategic relationship between the two sides in practical training and developing high-quality human resources. Specifically, helping students develop practical skills and apply the knowledge into a professional working environment. Marriott International Group sent staff to contribute to the student assessment process, and the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality will provide quality human resources in recruitment time.
At the ceremony, Assoc Prof. Dr. Pham Hong Chuong affirmed that the cooperation between National Economics University and the Marriott Group played an important role in the tourism training industry of the University. It would help the university improve the quality of training and create more opportunities for students to expose to business and employment opportunities in the future ”.
The representative of Marriott International’s Vietnam and Cambodia Business Council, Mr. Mark Van Der Wielen, said that Marriott International was growing fast in the next 12 to 36 months, with an estimated 23 hotels to be opened. In addition, there would be about 10 to 15 projects being finalized for signing so there would be many job opportunities for all students in the future ”.
