Within the framework of the project on a shared electronic library by higher education institutions in Vietnam (specializing in economics, business and management) sponsored by the World Bank, the National Economics University had a meeting with representatives of the World Bank's leaders on the mid-term evaluation report of the project.
At the meeting, Assoc. Pham Hong Chuong – NEU President has reported on the status of project. Despite the effects on the project caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, the National Economics University has made efforts to overcome difficulties and promote the implementation of the Project. The University also highlighted challenging issues in the context of the complicated development of the Covid-19 epidemic and made recommendations on adjusting the plan to accelerate the implementation of the project.
During the meeting, Mr. Michael Drabble - Sahep Project Team Leader acknowledged the initial results and asked the university to continue to speed up the bidding for the remaining bidding packages and promote the data usage to support the training and scientific research of universities.
It is known that the National Economics University is implementing three bidding packages: collections of e-journals specialzing in Economics; e-book and printed book collections; Economic - Financial - Macro data sets and Securities analysis datasets.
Through three bidding packages, the project has set the goal of providing an exogenous database of a shared electronic library for all participating member univerities. The library is expected to improve the quality of training and scientific research, optimize investment costs for participating units and meet the needs of reference materials on various fileds.
